Dual Credit

Earn college credit through Colorado Christian University

WCA juniors and seniors can earn college credit while in high school through dual credit classes and online dual enrollment courses via Colorado Christian University (CCU). These courses satisfy general education prerequisites at most accredited universities.

How It Works

Eligible students enroll in selected courses to receive:

  • 0.5 credits (one-semester course) or 1 credit (full-year course) toward the high school diploma
  • 3 credits toward a college diploma

WCA maintains the high school transcript; CCU maintains the college transcript. Upon graduation, students request their college transcript directly from CCU for transfer to their chosen university.

Course Formats

Dual Credit:In-person instruction by WCA faculty who hold master's degrees and serve as CCU adjunct faculty.

Online Dual Enrollment: Entirely remote courses taught by CCU faculty, with WCA faculty proctoring and providing supplemental instruction during the school day.

Costs

  • Dual Credit: $300 (paid to WCA)
  • Online Dual Enrollment: $300 plus textbook/materials costs

Most courses offer three credits, representing exceptional value compared to typical CCU pricing of $2,721 per three-credit course.
