Student Leadership University — three life-shaping conferences

Wright Christian Academy partners with Student Leadership University (SLU) to offer three sequential leadership development conferences for our middle and high school students. Each is built around the SLU motto: Work Hard, Play Hard.

SLU 101 — Orlando

SLU 101 provides a year's worth of leadership development in just 4 days. The program combines educational sessions with recreational activities at theme parks, embodying the “Work Hard, Play Hard” spirit. Students learn practical life skills from industry leaders in both classroom and experiential settings.

Participation begins the summer before 9th or 10th grade. Visit slulead.com for details.

SLU 201 — Washington DC

Building on foundational skills, this conference emphasizes civic leadership and personal impact. Students engage with national thought leaders, explore Washington DC landmarks, and reflect on themes of legacy and citizenship.

This experience occurs the summer before 10th or 11th grade.

SLU 301 — Europe

The final program takes students to England and France, where they study European history and philosophy while visiting iconic locations like London, Oxford, Normandy, and Paris. The focus shifts to developing a global perspective and leaving a lasting legacy.

This concludes the journey the summer before 11th or 12th grade.
